I applaud you for taking the right direction. No one deserves that. My mother dealt with more than 20 yrs of abuse from my dad’s hands. Left him when I was 12. then 1 yr passed and they got back together and then that’s when my mom got pregnant with my younger brother. The cycle started again & when I was 15 my dad hit her in front of me. I took one of his shoes and hit him. He hit me so bad with a belt & caused for me to have bruises and welts all over my back. My mom left him when I was 17

nobody would know what they would do inless they were in that situation. its not that easy to just up and leave and its hard because this is someone you love.

The first time i was engaged to the guy, I almost married him but then i got accepted into uni and he said it was either him or uni (and ultimately my family) at that point i left him. the second time, the second he threw punches and stuff.
